Gemeinsam können Ressourcen effizienter genutzt werden und so der Transfer von Wissen und „Köpfen“ in die Industrie beflügelt werden. Ziel des Vortrages ist es, solche neuen Möglichkeiten der Zusammenarbeit zwischen Firmen und der Justus-Liebig-Universität (JLU) Gießen vorzustellen. Die JLU hat mit Mitteln des Landes Hessen und der EU in den letzten Jahren gezielt neue Organisationseinheiten aufgebaut, die eine Vernetzung im MINT-Bereich zwischen JLU und Firmen auf verschiedenen Ebenen beflügeln können. Das Gießener Graduiertenzentrum für Naturwissenschaften und Psychologie (GGN) in Zusammenarbeit mit dem Zentrum für Materialforschung (ZfM) bietet u.a. einen „Online-Marktplatz“, auf dem Unternehmen Praktika und mögliche Abschlussarbeiten für Studierende bewerben können. Ebenso werden von GGN und ZfM auf Promotionsebene neue Zusammenarbeitsmöglichkeiten mit Unternehmen entwickelt. Beide Maßnahmen kommen zum einen dem Wunsch der Studierenden oder Promovierenden nach frühem Kontakt mit der „Praxis“ nach. Im Gegenzug profieren die Unternehmen davon, dass sie als Folge dieser Maßnahmen die Studierenden oder Promovierenden mit formen und früh an sich binden können. Das Zentrum für Materialforschung (ZfM) mit den angeschlossenen EFRE-Innovationslaboren „Physik unter harschen Bedingungen“, „Hochleistungswerkstoffe“ und „Prozessdiagnostik“ hält Methodenplattformen mit modernsten Großgeräten sowie das zugehörige wissenschaftliche Know-How zur Durchführung der Messungen und Interpretation der Ergebnisse vor. Diese Geräteinfrastruktur ist auch den Unternehmen zugänglich. Der strukturierte Zugriff der Unternehmen auf die vorhandene Forschungsinfrastruktur sowie das zugehörige Know-How kann über Forschungsaufträge, gemeinsame F&E Projekte oder auch gemeinsame Forschung im Rahmen von Abschlussarbeiten erfolgen. Entsprechende Beispiele aus der Praxis werden vorgestellt. Der Vortrag bietet so eine gebündelte Darstellung der vielfältigen Kooperationsmöglichkeiten mit der JLU im MINT-Bereich für Unternehmen aus der Region und darüber hinaus." Gesellschaftliche Herausforderungen wie demografischer Wandel, fehlendes MINT-Interesse oder die aktuell angespannte wirtschaftliche und politische Situation erfordern es über neue Wege der Zusammenarbeit zwischen Hochschulen und Unternehmen nachzudenken. Gemeinsam können Ressourcen effizienter genutzt werden und so der Transfer von Wissen und „Köpfen“ in die Industrie beflügelt werden. Ziel des Vortrages ist es, solche neuen Möglichkeiten der Zusammenarbeit zwischen Firmen und der Justus-Liebig-Universität (JLU) Gießen vorzustellen. Die JLU hat mit Mitteln des Landes Hessen und der EU in den letzten Jahren gezielt neue Organisationseinheiten aufgebaut, die eine Vernetzung im MINT-Bereich zwischen JLU und Firmen auf verschiedenen Ebenen beflügeln können. Das Gießener Graduiertenzentrum für Naturwissenschaften und Psychologie (GGN) in Zusammenarbeit mit dem Zentrum für Materialforschung (ZfM) bietet u.a. einen „Online-Marktplatz“, auf dem Unternehmen Praktika und mögliche Abschlussarbeiten für Studierende bewerben können. Ebenso werden von GGN und ZfM auf Promotionsebene neue Zusammenarbeitsmöglichkeiten mit Unternehmen entwickelt. Beide Maßnahmen kommen zum einen dem Wunsch der Studierenden oder Promovierenden nach frühem Kontakt mit der „Praxis“ nach. Im Gegenzug profieren die Unternehmen davon, dass sie als Folge dieser Maßnahmen die Studierenden oder Promovierenden mit formen und früh an sich binden können. Das Zentrum für Materialforschung (ZfM) mit den angeschlossenen EFRE-Innovationslaboren „Physik unter harschen Bedingungen“, „Hochleistungswerkstoffe“ und „Prozessdiagnostik“ hält Methodenplattformen mit modernsten Großgeräten sowie das zugehörige wissenschaftliche Know-How zur Durchführung der Messungen und Interpretation der Ergebnisse vor. Diese Geräteinfrastruktur ist auch den Unternehmen zugänglich. Der strukturierte Zugriff der Unternehmen auf die vorhandene Forschungsinfrastruktur sowie das zugehörige Know-How kann über Forschungsaufträge, gemeinsame F&E Projekte oder auch gemeinsame Forschung im Rahmen von Abschlussarbeiten erfolgen. Entsprechende Beispiele aus der Praxis werden vorgestellt. Der Vortrag bietet so eine gebündelte Darstellung der vielfältigen Kooperationsmöglichkeiten mit der JLU im MINT-Bereich für Unternehmen aus der Region und darüber hinaus.
