Dr. Andreas Nitze, ASML, Head of Governmental Affairs Germany      Dr. Andreas Nitze serves as Head of Governmental Affairs Germany at ASML N.V., one of the world’s leading manufacturers of microchip fabrication equipment. Dr. Nitze joined Berliner Glas KGaA Herbert Kubatz GmbH & Co in 1991 and became a member of its Executive Board in 1994. He held a number of management positions within the company and in 2002 became Managing Partner and Chief Executive Officer. In this capacity, he was primarily responsible for the realignment of the corporate organization and management structure at Group level, and in 2019, he initiated the M&A process to sell the Berliner Glas Group to ASML N.V. Upon joining ASML in 2020, Dr. Nitze acted as ASML’s Country Manager for Germany and Head of Global Advocacy. With Germany’s increasing importance for the European semiconductor ecosystem he has focused his activities again on Germany since November 2024. Dr. Nitze received a doctorate in business administration at the University of St. Gallen. __________________________________ Dr. Andreas Nitze ist Head of Governmental Affairs Germany bei ASML NV, einem der weltweit führenden Hersteller von Geräten zur Herstellung von Mikrochips. Dr. Nitze trat 1991 in die Berliner Glas KGaA Herbert Kubatz GmbH & Co ein und wurde 1994 Mitglied der Geschäftsführung. Er hatte verschiedene Führungspositionen im Unternehmen inne und wurde 2002 geschäftsführender Gesellschafter und Vorstandsvorsitzender. In dieser Funktion war er maßgeblich für die Neuausrichtung der Unternehmensorganisation und der Führungsstruktur auf Gruppenebene verantwortlich und initiierte 2019 den M&A-Prozess zum Verkauf der Berliner Glas Gruppe an ASML NV. Nach seinem Eintritt bei ASML im Jahr 2020 war Dr. Nitze als Country Manager für Deutschland und anschliessend als Head of Global Advocacy bei ASML tätig. Mit der zunehmenden Bedeutung Deutschlands für das europäische Halbleiter-Ökosystem konzentriert er seine Aktivitäten seit November 2024 wieder auf Deutschland. Dr. Nitze promovierte in Betriebswirtschaftslehre an der Universität St. Gallen.
