W3+ Fair 2022 in Wetzlar postponed to July

Organizer of the high-tech trade fair reacts to current Corona development. The fair now invites to exchange and networking in early summer with many new partners and formats

Hamburg, January 21, 2022. Due to the currently valid Corona regulations and the uncertain specifications for the current first quarter, the organizer of the W3+ Fair 2022 in Wetzlar (w3-fair.com) has decided to postpone the attendance event planned for March. The new date is July 6 + 7, 2022. In early summer, all participants can look forward to a diverse event: more than 100 exhibitors, partners and sponsors have registered so far for the innovative interdisciplinary trade fair for optics, photonics, electronics and mechanics with the gold partners Wetzlar Network and EPIC. The accompanying conference “N-Tec Talks” for Enabling Technologies also promises top-class knowledge transfer with its main topics Industry 4.0, New Technologies, Business Opportunities and User Markets.

The optics region Thuringia/ Jena, IVAM with “Microtechnology for Optical Devices” and – new – OptecNet Germany will be represented with joint booths. In addition, there will be special areas on robotics – supported by VDI Mittelhessen and 3D printing/additive manufacturing. New is the special area of IHK Hessen innovative – an association of several Chambers of Commerce and Industry – on the topics of sustainability, AI and digitalization. Another important component of the trade show in Wetzlar will be the topic of recruiting, which will be supported by EPIC this year. For potential exhibitors, the shift offers a new opportunity to benefit from the cross-industry network.

Project Director Jörg Brück: “We are very pleased that we have been able to attract more associations and partners for the W3+ Fair than ever before. This shows the relevance of the cross-industry concept for the topic of innovation development. We are all sorry that we now have to postpone the date. However, this will give all participants better planning security. And for a networking event like the W3+ Fair, summer is perfect.” At the last event at the end of February 2020, 180 exhibitors met a good 2800 visitors. From November 30 – December 1, 2022, the W3+ Fair Rhine Valley will also take place, providing access to the R&D-driven four-country region on Lake Constance.

About the W3+ Fair

The event traces its roots back to an industry imitative organised in Wetzlar and Mittelhessen, and its objective is to interlink the four sectors of optics, photonics, electronics and mechanics. The aim is that new interfaces and points of contact will pave the way for forward-looking technologies. The trade fair debuted at the Rittal Arena in Wetzlar in February 2014. The W3+ Fair is organised by the Hamburg-based company, FLEET Events (www.fleet-events.de).
