Mathias Mende holds a PHD in Physics from Leibniz University of Hannover. After his research work at the Laser Zentrum Hannover e.V., he joined the company Laseroptik GmbH were he developed ion beam sputtered coatings for about 10 years. Early 2022, he joined Edmund Optics as Senior Optical Coating Designer mainly working with the manufacturing sites in Akita, Japan and Florida, USA. With more than 15 years of experience on ion beam sputtered coatings he develops customized optical filters and laser optics for various applications.
