Recruiting opportunities at Student Day, Meet & Match with Xuchang and current university research
On the second day of the fair, the organiser expects around 300 pupils and students to attend Student Day. Companies and junior staff can make their first contacts here. jobvector, the specialised online jobboard for scientists, physicians, IT specialists and engineers, will help to recruit new specialists or take the next career steps. The official meeting place is the Jobwall.
Chinese companies from the model region of Xuchang will be in contact with interested parties at the Meet & Match. The meeting will be organised by RSBK, the strategy consultancy of former Defence Minister Scharping. In addition an international Business Matching with representatives from more than 10 countries takes place, which is accomplished by Mittelhessen’s regional management association.
The Campus Area is reserved for university research: Among others, the THM Technische Hochschule Mittelhessen and the Ernst Abbe Hochschule Jena present their latest scientific findings there.
Around 200 exhibitors and partners as well as over 3000 visitors are expected at the W3+ Fair/ Convention. “The high-tech market is developing rapidly. The fair wants to give impulses for the necessary innovations. The advantage for visitors is that they can gain an overview in the shortest possible time and initiate cross-sector contacts for new projects. This is just as true for Wetzlar as it is for our new event in September in the Rhine Valley,” confirms Jörg Brück, Project Director at trade fair organiser Fleet Events.

About the W3+ Fair/Convention
The event is the result of an industrial initiative in Wetzlar and Central Hessen that aims to promote networking between the three sectors of optics, electronics and mechanics. New interfaces are to be used to launch forward-looking technologies. The fair took place for the first time in February 2014 in the Rittal Arena in Wetzlar. The W3+ Fair/Convention is organised by the Hamburg trade fair organiser FLEET Events (www.fleet-events.de). The namesake Wetzlar Network (www.wetzlar-network.de) and the European Photonics Industry Consortium EPIC (www.epic-assoc.com) will be there as gold partners. New is the W3+ Fair/Convention Rheintal, which will take place for the first time on 18 + 19 September 2019 in the quadrangle of Austria, Switzerland, Liechtenstein and Germany.
