IHK Conference on Digitalisation
Fit for the future through digitalisation (COST: 165 euros + VAT) – only held in German
Success factors and “best practices”: When companies talk about digital strategy, it is so simple in theory, but in reality it is sometimes rather a chaotic construction site. Where do you start, what are suitable initial projects and who in the company can help with implementation? Where can I find qualified employees or how can I sufficiently qualify my team? Digitalisation projects must be individually adapted to the company. At this conference, we from the IHK Lahn-Dill and IHK Hessen innovativ, together with the Technische Hochschule Mittelhessen, want to show how companies have been able to successfully implement digitalisation projects and what opportunities are available regionally to receive assistance from experts.
Participants of the event will learn about successfully implemented digitalisation projects and will get helpful hints for the development of their own digital strategy.
Organiser
IHK Lahn-Dill and IHK Hessen innovativ in cooperation with the Technische Hochschule Mittelhessen.
Target group
Managing directors, plant managers, digitalisation and IT managers and interested parties

Forest@Photonics at W3+ Fair in Wetzlar
Photonics for forestry and forest management – at the invitation of OptecBB.
Moderation: Dr. Janina Bolling | Optec-Berlin-Brandenburg (OpTecBB) e.V. on 07 July from 10 am – 1 pm
Forest damage is an increasing problem for the timber industry worldwide and is directly linked to the effects of climate change. In addition, the political discussion about the forest as a possible CO2 reservoir is gaining momentum. This makes it all the more important to protect the forest’s health and ensure smooth value creation along the timber production chain. The possibilities of optical, integrated and networked sensor technology for detecting and preventing forest damage and for process and quality control in downstream timber production offers interesting approaches to solutions here.
The workshop will be moderated by OpTecBB e.V. as part of its PhoSenWood project (funded as part of the promotion of model projects for the development of forward-looking cluster concepts and novel business models under the “go-cluster” programme). The aim is to discuss closer, cross-sectoral cooperation between the photonics sector and the forestry and timber industry. Take advantage of the opportunity for an interdisciplinary exchange with renowned speakers who will report on the challenges facing the forestry and timber industry and already existing innovations and ideas. Your approaches to solutions are very welcome.
Registration is requested. Please book the additional ticket for the Forest@Photonics Workshop.
